Eagle-eyed drivers may have noticed a bright new addition to the Whiteshill Primary School playground.

Over the past year, the Friends of Whiteshill School have been very busy raising funds to make a range of improvements to the playground including a new climbing wall and a freshen up of the furniture and markings.

The jewel in the crown of the project though is a brand new mural painted during the autumn term by local artist Stephanie Cole.

Stroud News and Journal:

The Whiteshill school boasts an incredible view across the five valleys

It was funded by a host of local businesses who all very kindly supported the school: C R Signs, GEL Engineering, Parlour Projects, Trainspotters Lighting, Hyde & Gallagher Cabinet Makers and Lesley Young Bespoke Framing.

The mural incorporates the wonderful views that surround the playground, as well as the school motto ‘Together we Succeed’ which really sums up the close community feel of the happy school on the edge of Stroud.

Parents told the paper that the striking new It makes us all feel very proud to arrive at school each morning and puts a smile on our faces as we come up the hill.
