An award-winning theatre company are premiering their production to lucky audiences in Filton.

The Worx Productions are a successful group from the area and are performing The Life outside of London for the first time in it's history at the Olympus Theatre.

Set in 1979 Times Square, the musical story follows characters Queen and Fleetwood as they struggle to find their dream life.

When they cross a dangerous and unpredictable character called Memphis, the show takes a dark turn as 70's funk and glamour and comedy is accompanied by some darker moments.

Steve Blackmore, MD of The Worx Productions and the man responsible for bringing the show to the area, said: "This is one of my all-time favourite scores, and I have wanted to bring it to a Bristol audience for over twenty years.

"We finally have the cast and creative talent to do it justice, and I think audiences will find the show both thrilling and highly entertaining."

The Worx are a well-known company from the area having previously produced several award-winning plays and musicals and has a mission to bring new and rarely seen plays and musicals to Bristol audiences at an affordable cost.

The company also invests in new productions in London and New York, having recently supported Pinter at the Pinter, Unexpected Joy, and The Grinning Man.

The Life is running at The Olympus Theatre, Filton, from February 5-9 with tickets priced at £14.
