Residents in South Gloucestershire were treated to a surprise visit from the Home Secretary Sajid Javid MP on Friday afternoon.
The MP visited Frampton Cotterell alongside Luke Hall MP and took a quick tour of the village, near where he grew up, with two police officers.
Whilst there he also knocked on some doors and had conversations with residents about what they feel is needed in their area and then South Gloucestershire as a whole.
He outlined some key steps that the government is making in supporting our emergency services as well as plans for homes across the region.
He also made a quick visit to his in-laws whilst on the patch.
Take a look at the video and see what he had to say to our reporter Ross Arnott.
