With all this talk of a second referendum especially by the Liberal Democrat’s I wonder how many people will remember a referendum in Thornbury held by the Liberal Democrat’s after they wanted to purchase the old police station and asked those on the electoral roll to vote whether this purchase should go ahead.
When the result came out the majority of voters said no to the purchase so the Liberal Democrat’s decided that those who did not vote were in favour of the purchase and decided to purchase the property.
On this basis it would appear that whenever a referendum is held if they don’t agree with the result there should be another one or just ignore the first result.
