MP DAVID Drew turns DJ this weekend, as he takes to the decks alongside a house music legend.

DJ legend Allister Whitehead is headlining Rave4Dave - a Stroud Labour Party fundraiser on Saturday.

Hosted by the Dursley DJ Collective, the party night is taking place in the main hall of the Chantry Centre.

And anyone getting there early will witness David Drew MP spin the opening tune.

Allister is one of the pre-eminent names in house music having played the best clubs all over the globe.

He started DJing aged 17 and through hard graft and natural talent gained residencies at superclubs such as Golden, Cream and the Hacienda alongside regular guest spots at the biggest parties around the world.

Fantastic sound, stunning lights, special effect visuals and a full laser show will complement Allister and the usual line-up of Dursley DJs.

Tickets are priced at £6 or £3 unwaged (plus booking fee) and are available from www.skiddle.com (search Rave4Dave).

It will be more on the door – advance tickets have almost sold out.
