DURSLEY and Cam Child Contact Centre provides a safe space in which children whose parents are no longer together can spend time with the parent they don’t live with.
Following a rigorous assessment process, the centre has been re-accredited by the National Association of Child Contact Centres for another three years.
Based at Dursley Tabernacle the centre, which has been operating since 2007, runs every alternate Saturday afternoon and is staffed by a team of volunteers.
Parents and children can spend two hours together playing, reading books or doing craft activities in a safe environment.
Due to work commitments, one of the volunteer co-ordinators has had to stand down and the team is looking to recruit a replacement.
This is a volunteer role with expenses and an honorarium paid monthly.
