A board game marathon held in Thornbury last month has raised more than £1,000.
Lauren Ruiz held the event to raise money for St Peter's Hospice, a Bristol charity caring for adults with life-limiting illnesses.
In total £1,025 was raised for the charity who looked after her partner's father before he died.
Lauren said: "The fundraiser went fantastically well, with us managing to raise £1025 altogether, 200 of this generously given by Pertemps recruitment. This surpassed our target of £800 so I was absolutely delighted.
"Everyone had fun and I was very pleased to hear that some people went out to buy the games they played afterwards! It was also very heartening to meet strangers who had heard about the event and see them have a good time.
"This money will help St Peter's Hospice to provide not just palliative, but also personal care for their patients, whether it be making cups of tea, popping flowers on the tables or simply listening.
"If people would like to play some more games there is a regular board game group that meets in Thornbury Baptist Church every Wednesday at 7pm. Without their generosity and impressive games collection I would not have been able to run the event."
