I take exception to Sue Turl’s assumption that Jenny Gilbert’s letter (bit.ly/2BivWcz) was prompted by political reasons.
This was a letter from a member of the public, with no party connections, who like many of us are concerned about the lack of Health Care facilities in Thornbury.
We have more and more houses being built, but seemingly no extra provision for the needs of residents living in them.
Thornbury Hospital closed with barely a word said about it from any political party!
Yate has a Minor Injuries Unit and a re-hab facility for older people being discharged from hospital, Dursley has a walk in centre, but Thornbury has NOTHING.
Instead of jumping to conclusions about Mrs Gilbert’s motives, why doesn’t Mrs Turl try and get something done about these problems.
