A CASUALTY was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after firefighters were called to a flat in Orford in the early hours of this morning.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of smoke coming from a property on Bexhill Avenue at around 2am today, Saturday.
Three fire engines were sent to the scene, with crews finding that the smoke had been caused by cooking fumes.
One person inside the flat was handed into the care of paramedics and later taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
Firefighters remained on the scene for an hour and a half.
