Homes evacuated after gas leak
TWO people have been hospitalised and residents evacuated following a gas leak this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a property on Hawker Square in Upper Rissington, near Bourton on the Water, at 2.15pm, following reports of a suspected gas leak inside of a house.
A 15-year-old boy was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and a 48-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
The surrounding properties were evacuated, but residents have since been allowed to return home after the gas board deemed the area to be safe again.
