WHAT a difference a year makes!
These two views of Hereford Cathedral could not be more different.
Yet they were both taken on February 27, in 2018 and 2019.
In one, heavy snow restricts visibility to a few hundred metres and people turn up their collars against the icy wind.
In another there are blue skies and the river Wye flows dreamily by. There is even the first sign of blossom on the trees.

A year ago the Beast from the East was causing havoc in Herefordshire.
It was the phrase used to describe the cold and wintry conditions that reached the UK as a result of easterly winds from the continent.
Today temperatures reached 17C in Hereford, according to the Met Office. Tomorrow is likely to be cloudier but it will still be a relatively mild 11C.
