FRYING pans at the ready - Dursley's annual pancake race is back.

Promising flipping good fun for people of all ages, the traditional fun race is taking place tomorrow, which is Shrove Tuesday (March 5), in Parsonage Street at 12 noon.

Depending on the number of runners who have entered, "heats" are held with the fastest runners qualifying for the grand final.

The race winner will receive a trophy, provided by Dursley Town Council, and second and third placed entrants will get pancake race medals.

A trophy donated by Dursley Business Inclusive, in memory of volunteer Eileen Nichols, will be awarded for the best fancy dress costume.

Each year a local charity benefits from the entry fees and any other monies raised during the event.

All proceeds from the 2019 race will go towards the Henlow Court Activity Fund.

Entry forms and sponsorship forms can be down-loaded from the Dursley Town Council website and are also available from the DTC office in Jacob’s House or from Daisy Belle Floral Design in Parsonage Street.
