IT WAS frying pans at the ready this morning, with the return of Dursley's annual pancake race.
The entrants lined up for some flipping good fun in Parsonage Street at 12 noon.
Participants included the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity's mascot, Charlie the Critical Care Bear.
The winners were:
1st: Liam Jones, representing The Pulse Leisure Centre
2nd: Will Hayward, representing The Old Spot
3rd: Chelsie Winsor, representing Henlow Court
A trophy donated by Dursley Business Inclusive, in memory of local volunteer Eileen Nichols, was awarded to Viv Kennedy and Della Sykes, dressed as parrots.
The Town Council thanked all the runners who participated and the organisations and businesses which supported the event including Daisy Belle Floral Design, Dursley Lions and to Classy Glass who donated trophies and medals for the race.
The proceeds of this year's race are set to be presented to the Henlow Court Activity Fund.
