WOTTON-under-Edge’s town hall teas are set to return at the end of the month for another season of community fundraising.

Tea afternoon teas are held every Sunday and every bank holiday Monday from the beginning of April until the end of October, from 2.30pm-5pm.

Residents, tourists, walking groups and cyclists are served delicious home-made cakes, teas and coffees for just £4 a person.

The groups also sometimes run books, bric-à-brac brac, plant and craft stalls, plus a tombola.

The town hall teas have raised thousands over the years, providing an essential boost for the community groups in Wotton and the continued regeneration of the town.

Janet Walshe of Wotton Heritage Centre, said: “This project contributes hugely to our town regeneration.

“And it's a really nice way to raise money."

The groups hosting the upcoming teas are as follows:

Sunday, March 31 SARA

Sunday April 7 The British School PTA

Sunday April 14 RNLI

Sunday April 21 Grace Orphanage

Sunday April 28 Kingswood School
