An international rugby player visited a primary school today to celebrate International Women’s Day.
Zoe Aldcroft, 22, visited Hopelands Preparatory School in Stonehouse, to inspire pupils.
The Gloucester-Hartpury player represents England woman’s rugby union team.
Zoe held a presentation detailing her journey in rugby so far before answering questions from excited pupils.
She then held a rugby masterclass with the children throughout the rest of the day alongside staff at the school.
Zoe said: "I was asked to come down to the school because it’s International Women’s Day.
"It’s important to recognise woman and what they do, woman have a big role in the world.
"It's a really good thing to be able to go to schools and speak to pupils and help promote the sport.
"When I was younger there was no local girls team.
"Rugby is for anyone, for woman it’s a great way of making friends, and experiencing new things.
"Just go for it, you won’t know if you don’t go."
