Everything truly is coming up roses in Thornbury.

The start of the town's art festival, is less than six weeks away and a fantastically floral event has been announced to bring things to a close on May 4.

Liza Pulman will be hosting a cabaret evening entitled Everything's Coming Up Roses.

Every song performed, from Tiptoe through the Tulips to Bette Midler’s The Rose will be on a flowery theme. Songs by Noel Coward and Flanders and Swann will also feature.

The solo show was previously performed at the Edinburgh Festival.

Liza has received three Olivier Award nominations as part of comedy cabaret trio Fascinating Aida.

She is part of a showbusiness family with her father, Jack Pulman,a famous screenwriter, and her mother, Barbara Young, an actor.

Liza will be accompanied on the night by Bristol-born Joseph Atkins on the piano.
