AN OFFENDER, who asked to change his curfew so he could enjoy a cigarette at night, has been turned down.
Owen Coates, 20, of Lasse Court, Cam is currently banned from leaving his home in the evening and night time as part of a community order curfew.
He was handed the order at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on February 12.
Coates had requested that the curfew be extended to include the garden by his home, to allow him to smoke outside.
But at the same court on March 6, the application was refused.
The request was turned down on the basis that Coates was not present in court, and as such the application could not proceed any further.
