THERE are only a few weeks to go until the annual charity Painswick Playgroup Easter Egg Hunt which takes place around St Mary’s churchyard and the village centre on Saturday, April 20 from 12pm to 4pm.

There will be more than 30 beautifully designed eggs hiding all around the village for you and your little ones to find, and every completed trail will be rewarded with a chocolate prize.

This year’s theme is children’s books and local sponsors, the playgroup and the Croft School as well as some highly artistic mums are in the process of creating some amazing eggs.

There’s even a grown-up set of clues so it promises to be a great day out for all the family.

Attractions this year will include bouncy castles, food stalls, face painting, tombola as well as a delicious homemade cake stall and more.

There will be a special appearance by the Easter Bunny, with plenty of opportunities to have your photo taken with him. And don’t forget to bring your favourite cuddly toy for the Teddy Bear Parachuting from the church spire.

Maps for the event will be on sale from The Falcon Pub, the library or the playgroup in Painswick and is £3 in advance or £4 on the day per child (under twos can go free).

Plenty of free parking will be available at the Painswick Recreation Ground in addition to the usual parking around the village and at Stamages Lane Car Park.

Money raised goes to Painswick Playgroup to improve facilities.
