DURSLEY Ladies Rugby Club will pay a touching tribute to a fellow player from the rugby family this week.
Chelsie Jones, 19, who was a proud member of Hereford club the Greyhound Ladies, died on Friday, March 8.
In a post on social media, Dursley Ladies RFC said: “We want to send all our love and support to our friends at Greyhound Ladies Rugby Club, who are dealing with the tragic loss of one of their young players, 19 year old Chelsie Jones.
“We have played against, and even with, the Greyhounds team for many years and there is a great friendship between our clubs.
“We want to send heartfelt condolences to you all at this difficult time."
Dursley Ladies RFC's captain Katie Thomson said: “In honour of Chelsie we will have a minute’s silence before our home league game against Banbury on Sunday.”
