A motorist has been banned from driving after crashing into two cars and failing to stop.

Samuel Hicks, 22, of Barton on the Heath, Moreton-in-Marsh, admitted six motoring offences when he appeared before Cheltenham magistrates on March 8.

Hicks also admitted two charges of driving without due care and attention.

The court heard how Hicks drove his Mitsubishi L200 on the B4035 at Paul’s Pike and also on the Aston Road, Chipping Campden on October 7, last year.

He collided with a Fiat Punto and then with a Honda HR-V and failed to stop and to report the accidents to the police.

Hicks was given an eight week curfew, ordered to pay a total of £335 compensation and £85 prosecution costs.

He was also banned from driving for 56 days.
