There are delays of up to 45 minutes on the M5 this morning
A MULTI-VEHICLE crash is causing long delays on the M5 this morning.
The accident is believed to have involved four vehicles and happened at just after 7am today, Thursday, March 28, between junction 18A (M49) and junction 17 (A4018 Cribbs Causeway)
Although cars were initially held back on the northbound carriageway of the motorway by emergency services one lane has now been reopened.
Currently travel time through the area is 45 minutes.
There are also reports of traffic building on the southbound carriageway, and on the M49 itself.
