Sodbury and Yate Business Association (SYBA) has announced their new chairmen that will look to continue the good work the group has done.

Martin Weaver, of Weaver Designs and James Rendell from Clever HR have taken on the role of Joint Chair as the association celebrates its 10th year anniversary in 2019.

After taking on the role, James Rendell revealed that there were good times ahead for the association.

"It is great to be involved with SYBA in this exciting time for the group," he said.

"Within Sodbury, Yate and the surrounding areas we have a thriving business community and we offer a relaxed environment where our members can learn from each other, develop new relationships and share referrals.

"This year SYBA is keen to support our sporting community.

"We have selected YOSC sports complex as our chosen charity for 2019, and have social events booked in at Yate Town FC and Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club which, as well as raising awareness of the clubs, will help with additional revenues towards on-going costs such as ground improvements and machinery maintenance."

The group meets once a month and is a network for over 35 businesses in Sodbury and Yate.

They offer regular networking and social events to help grow businesses, campaign on issues that affect the community and support charities.

This year the group is raising funds for Yate Outdoor Sports Complex.

There are numerous events that will be taking place later this year, with announcements to be made via the SYBA Facebook page and you can join the association on their website.
