PUPILS in Wotton-under-Edge are celebrating Easter with their very own living Easter cross.
The cross is made from daffodil bulbs and was planted back in November on the Blue Coat C of E Primary School field by children in the school’s Ignite Club, supported by members of the local Open the Book Team and Reverend Morag Langley.
Ignite Club provides an opportunity for the school and church communities to work together.
The children enjoyed planting the cross and watching it grow.
And the whole school benefitted from the colours and signs of spring as it bloomed just in time before the Easter school break, which began on Friday, April 5.
Reverend Morag said: “It is wonderful to see the children of Blue Coat School grow and flourish in all aspects of their life, including their spirituality.”
