A huge emergency service presence on Stanshawes Drive in Yate, was because of concerns for a resident.
At around 9pm on April 2, three ambulances, two fire engines and a police car arrived at the road near to Westerleigh Common.
Crews from another nearby fire station were also pulled in to assist with the operation.
One resident that lived nearby sent dashcam footage from their car to the Gazette.
There were initially concerns from residents, however Avon Fire & Rescue Service has now confirmed what actually happened.
In a statement, a spokesman for the service revealed they were assisting with access to one of the properties on the road.
"We were called at 21:02hrs by ambulance colleagues to assist with access to a property on Stanshawes Drive in Yate," they said.
"This was following reported concerns for the welfare of the male occupant.
"Crews from Yate and Patchway fire station attended the scene and facilitated entry into the property.
"Ambulance colleagues were then able to confirm that there were no further concerns for the health of the occupant.
"Police colleagues were also in attendance at the scene."
South Western Ambulance Service were unable to provide an update on the situation as it had occurred at a private property.
They did confirm that they were in attendance whilst the operation took place.
