Yate MIU
The date that the Minor Injuries Unit in Yate will extend its opening hours has finally been revealed.
From Monday, April 15 the centre will be open for 12 hours a day, seven days a week.
The facility, currently ran by Sirona care & health will now be open from 8am - 8pm on weekdays and also on weekends.
This will include bank holidays.
X-ray services provided by North Bristol NHS Trust will also be available seven days a week, initially for a slightly shorter day covering busier periods.
Individuals will also be able to attend the unit for a GP-referred X-ray on Saturdays or Sundays.
The news that the centre was planning this change first broke in January after calls from the public.
