Remember what you wanted to be when you grew up?

Children at a Thornbury Primary School are not hanging around in considering their future career.

Gillingstool Primary School recently held a Jobs Jamboree Day where they learned about a variety of different careers.

Nine parents volunteered to come and spend the morning talking about their jobs.

The children found out about life as an audio typist, security guard, farm contractor, stud yard owner, dog groomer, aeronautical engineer, asset manager, podiatrist and a film maker.

In the afternoon there were planned activities linked to the skills the parents use on a daily basis.

The school has already started planning their next Jobs Jamboree Day.
