A Midsomer Murders themed mystery evening is being held later this month.

Murder at Midwynter Manor, loosely based on the hit ITV show, is being held at Olveston Parish Hall.

Participants will play different roles and act out the plot during a three course meal.

Guests are invited to dress up in 1930s evening dress and will be able to use their sleuthing skills to try and solve the murders.

The event is part of a Sow and Grow appeal being run by St Mary's Church.

Parishioners are hoping to help people both at home and abroad.

They want to raise £10,000 to help refugees returning to Myange village, Rwanda from Tanzania, where they fled after the genocide in the 1990s.

As well this there is a project to raise £5,000 for an outdoor reflective area at Olveston School. It is hoped the quiet, interactive area will benefit the children’s mental health and wellbeing.

The event is being held at 7pm on Saturday, April 27. Tickets are available for £20 from Gail (07949 920851), Lesley (07803 589770) or from Olveston Stores.
