HUNDREDS of people crammed into St Bartholomew's Church in Cam today for a service to celebrate the life of former firefighter and pub landlord John Sweet.
Popular pub landlord John ran the Railway Inn in Station Road, Cam for 20 years, and before that he had a distinguished career in the fire service.
The fire service led the funeral procession at midday, as it made its way from the Railway Inn to the church, with a fire engine and crew of fire fighters at the front of the cortege.
John died last month, aged 75.
The service was conducted by the Reverend Sue Greatorex.
