A national charity is looking for volunteers to help prevent loneliness.
Contact the Elderly, who work to alleviate isolation among the over 75s, need people willing to act a drivers once or twice a year.
The charity organises Sunday afternoon afternoon tea parties and volunteers are need to collect guests, take them to the venue, have a chat and take them home again afterwards.
Monthly tea parties act as a lifeline of friendship to older people who no longer can get out and about on their own
Patience and understanding of elderly people and their needs are required along with a full clean driving licence.
The charity is also looking for hosts to hold one or two tea parties per year for small groups of approximately six guests. A downstairs toilet is required.
