A man who carried a large knife in to a pub in Hawkesbury Upton, before then assaulting police officers at another address has been jailed for nine months.
Terry Niblett, 46 of Hawkesbury Upton entered The Fox Inn pub in Hawkesbury Upton on March 17.
Police were called after he was removed from the premises and then he was arrested at another address in the village.
This followed on from another incident that took place at the jobcentre in Yate earlier that month. On that occasion, Niblett was abusive towards staff and was charged with another public order offence.
On April 17, Niblett appeared at Bristol Crown Court and was sentenced to nine months in prison.
