A huge power cut in Frampton Cotterell that left hundreds of homes without electricity was caused by an undergroudn cable fault, Western Power Distribution have confirmed.
At 9.30pm on Good Friday, last week, around 800 homes were left with no power.
Western Power Distribution did confirm that they were able to get around 300 of these properties back up and running within just two minutes of the power failure.
The company did express that they were sorry for any inconvenience caused by the outage, whilst also stressing that they were able to get all power back up and running within an hour.
We're aware of a high voltage network fault in the area and estimate power to be restored by 23:00. Apologies for any disruption. Drew
