Work from more than 70 artists will go on display at Thornbury's annual art exhibition.

The Severn Vale Art Trail will showcase a range of styles in Thornbury and surrounding villages.

Watercolour, oil painting and photographic prints will be on view on the trail, part of Thornbury Arts Festival.

Crafts such as basket weaving, pottery and wood carving will also be displayed.

Visitors will have the opportunity to talk with the artists about their work, as well as make purchases.

Among those putting their work on display is Jen Gash, winner of Sky Arts' Landscape Artist of the Year competition.

A showcase exhibition, offering a taste of the trail, will be on display at Papilio at Heritage from Friday to Sunday, ahead of the main trail opening on May 3.

Brochures of the trail, with maps and venue locations, are available from Thornbury Town Hall.

A virtual gallery can be viewed at thornburyartsfestival.org.uk/severn-vale-arts-trail.
