STRATTON Youth FC under 10s team took part in the Great Cotswolds Clean up campaign in April.

Based in Stratton, Cirencester, the club gives youngsters aged between six and 18 the opportunity to take part in football related activities.

Over 20 volunteers made up of parents and players focused on three areas in Cirencester - roads around South Cerney airfield, Stratton and the sports centre.

They filled 12 bags with various pieces of rubbish of various sizes but mainly takeaway food and drink waste alongside a large piece of perspex.

The club are committed to positively contributing to their community and this was a great way of joining in a worthy campaign.

The team plans to carry out further litter picks in the future.
