A RESIDENTIAL home in Yate welcomed some surprise visitors over the Easter weekend.

Farm animals from Danny’s Donkeys and Therapy Pals made visit to the home, giving residents the opportunity to feed and interact with them.

This comes just a few months after Dermot the Donkey visited the home before Christmas to spread some seasonal cheer.

The home always works to try and provide entertainment for the residents that stay there and were recognised for their efforts with their recent ‘Outstanding’ rating from their latest inspection.

Firgrove House Residential Home is a family run care home providing a warm, friendly and welcoming home, together with the very best level of care and support for 20 residents aged 65 years and over.

There wasn’t only a special visit for the residents to get excited about as their families were also invited down to enjoy a special Easter day of fun.

Alethea Mizen, part of the management team at the home, revealed how well the whole day and weekend had gone.

“It was a brilliant Easter celebration.

“Firgrove House welcomed “Dannys’ Donkeys and Therapy Pals” to spend an Easter afternoon with clients, families and staff.

“It was a wonderful afternoon with Easter Egg hunts and Activities for all the family and a few special four legged / pawed friends.
