Members of the public were left furious after a collection of rubbish was found on a bench in a popular Yate park.
Kingsgate Park has received the top marks from South West in Bloom for a number of years, even being entered in to the higher categories in the competition.
It has achieved the status because of the way that it provides the public with a whole range of things and is always clean.
However on Sunday a large collection of rubbish was found on a bench.
Items left included glasses, plates and even a disposable bbq.
A picture online prompted fury from park-goers, with comments describing it as ‘disgusting’.
The mess was cleared up by visitors to the park, with it being placed in a bin just 15 metres away.
