A lawn mower caught fire
Firefighters in Yate responded to an odd call-out yesterday, when a lawnmower caught fire in a garden.
A post on the official Yate Fire Station Twitter page at around 12pm showed scorch marks on the ground where the lawnmower had obviously caught on fire.
Nobody was hurt but firefighters had to use a high pressure hose to put it out.
The fire station then issued a warning for the coming Summer months, encouraging the public to make sure that their garden equipment is in working order.
