Thornbury Carnival’s volunteer committee is busy finalising plans for this year's event.
This year the theme is Sport for All and, in addition to the High Street parade and activities on Mundy Fields, Thornbury Rugby Club will be running a Sports Village where visitors can try or watch various sports.
The headline act this year is Adele tribute Rolling in the Deep and there will other performances throughout the day. There will also be a dedicated Kids Zone plus arena displays and a funfair at the event on July 6.
More information is available on the carnival's new website:
thornburycarnival.co.ukPaul Caddick, chair of Thornbury Carnival committee, said: “We’re really excited to launch our new website. We think its look and feel really captures the atmosphere of the carnival and puts you in mind of summer skies and candy floss!
"There’s lots on the website including photo galleries and information about our history, community involvement and supporters.
"We need to give big thank you to our main stage sponsor, Horizon, and also Thornbury Town Council, as their ongoing support has enabled us to invest in the website and we’re sure carnival visitors will find it a useful resource.”
