The Thornbury Branch of the Royal British Legion are organising a monthly meeting point where serving military personnel or veterans and their families can drop in for a coffee and a chat.

RBL volunteers, together with other organisations, will be on hand to offer support and advice to those who need help.

The aims are to reach out to service personnel and veterans in the local community, to build a self-support network to combat loneliness, stress and depression, and to build connections with other organisations who can offer support.

These sessions will be held on the second Thursday of each month in Hawkes House. The first one is scheduled for June 13 and will run from 9.30am until 11.30am.
