Hundreds of people arrived at Old Sodbury Village Day to raise money for various causes and to enjoy a huge variety of games.

The village day is an an annual event and took place on Saturday on the green in the small village just north of Chipping Sodbury.

Throughout the day there was a lot of different things going on, including a brilliant performance from Thornbury Ukaholics.

There was a welly-wanging contest and a small collection of classic cars, including Brian Price of Downend with his 1959 Ford John Myers of the Friends of St John the Baptist Church was also at the village day trying to raise money for the group that are looking to replace roof tiles that were stolen late last year.

Starvale Cattery and Aplacas were also at the village day, with people able to pose for photos with alpaca Triple X.

Robert Williams was giving sheep-shearing lessons to those in attendance whilst two big bikes promoted the Sodbury Sportive as well.
