Staff at a GP Practice came together to run their local parkrun in a bid to promote exercise and well-being.
GPs and their teams from Frome Valley Medical Centre in Frampton Cotterell came together as part of a national campaign called the ‘parkrun Practice’.
This launched on Saturday, June 1 and the team have since completed two 5k routes.
The parkrun is a free weekly event that runs all over the country, it is a series of 5k circuits that people can run for free.
Since it was formed in 2004, the event has become very popular.
“I work as a GP in Frampton Cotterell and we got a little team to represent and support the scheme,” Kate Maskell said.
“We’d love to promote the ongoing scheme.”
