Dodington Parish Council have said they are 'extremely disappointed' after one of their newly planted flower beds in a park was trashed by vandals.
It is believed that the area in Lilliput Park was trashed at some point over the weekend, with councillors, staff and residents all working through Monday to salvage the area.
Those responsible for the damage uprooted 80 per cent of the plants and shrubs in the area and threw them in to surrounding bushes and along the footpath.
Cllr Paul Hulbert said: "This is just mindless and I am very disappointed to see that people are pulling up plants that are meant to enhance our beautiful park.
"Councillors, staff and contractors work very hard on Lilliput Park."
