THE organisers of a popular steam rally have been forced to cancel the event due to the weather.
The Lister Tyndale Steam Rally, set to take place in the grounds of North Nibley House farm, near Dursley, this weekend, has been postponed following persistent rainfall.
The event organisers posted on social media: "With regret we have had to cancel the Lister Tyndale Steam Rally due to take place this weekend.
"Yesterday the ground was drying up but due to continuous rain over night and further rain forecast we have had to take this decision."
The event, which would have been the 28th annual gathering, was to have showcased a range of large steam engines, miniature steam engines, tractors, classic cars, stationary engines, military vehicles, land rovers and motorcycles/pedal cycles.
