TORRENTIAL rain did little to dampen the spirits of those attending the annual Thelwall Rose Queen procession this Saturday.
Robin Broadhurst, aged 12, was crowned queen and watched an array of colourful floats travelling through the village.
And she was joined by attendees Olivia, Zara, Summer, Grace, Fifi and Lois.
This years theme was Disney, and local groups had clearly spent a lot of time and effort in designing their floats and costumes.
The parade began at Thelwall Parish Hall on Bell Lane, with tributes to Toy Story, 101 Dalmations, Alice in Wonderland and many more lighting up the occasion.
These floats were flanked by drummers, bagpipers, parents and of course, the traditional Thelwall Morris Men.
A variety of fairground rides were also available to make the occasion fun for all the family.
