LIVING works of art made their way down a catwalk in Gloucester Cathedral, as part of this year’s Art Couture Painswick’s wearable art competition.
The event took place on Friday night and was hosted by BBC Gloucester DJ Manny Masi.
Entrants had been invited to produce a design on the themes of biomimicry or robotics, and the resulting works featured a theatrical marriage of wearable art and body painting.
The winning entry was a spectacular tribute to eco lawyer Polly Higgins.
Entitled ‘Pollywood’, and standing three meters high, it was made by Jules Ellison of Make It Studios, based at Fromehall Mill in Stroud.
Jules said she wanted to pay homage to Polly and her work with the creation of a wearable earth goddess and ecocide warrior.
