MORE than £600 was raised for charity on the back of a night of zumba.

The fundraiser, which took place on Friday, June 7, was led by teacher Meryl Miller in Stratton and in total raised £655 for Look Good Feel Better.

Look Good Feel Better is the only cancer charity which offers support to women, men and young adults to combat the physical and psychological side-effects of their treatment.

The programme runs in over 130 hospitals and cancer care centres across the country.

To date, they have supported over 170,000 people living with cancer and has been running for 25 years.

Look Good Feel Better week, the charity’s main fundraising week, took place between June 3-June 7.

Regional co-ordinator Jane Steadman said: “A massive thank you to Meryl Miller for holding this fundraiser for Look Good Feel Better and to all the zumba ladies who attended, purchased raffle tickets and the companies who donated raffle prizes.

“A massive thank you also to the Nail Salon, H and H Hairdressing for men and Goldworthy Hairdressers in Cirencester who were all raising money last week for Look Good Feel Better during Feel Better Week.”
