New bridge
THE M49 is now open in both directions.
The road was to have been closed all weekend, but has been reopened early as works to complete a new bridge have been completed ahead of schedule.
The weekend closure of the M48 Seven Bridge closure remains in place, both ways, between J2 A466 Wye Valley Link Road (Chepstow) and J1 B4461 (Aust), and will continue until Monday morning.
The Westbound closure extended back to the M4 interchange for diversion purposes. The diversion is via the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge.
