A COUPLE from Yate put on a garden fete to raise money for St Peter’s Hospice.
Tony and Susan May decided to put on the event in order to make a donation to the organisation that helped look after two family members.
Tony’s brother Alan died of cancer just weeks after Susan’s brother had also passed away from the illness.
Tony previously raised £1,600 for a sponsored skydive for the pair and praised St Peter’s Hospice for the work they did to look after their family.
In their most fundraising attempt the pair spent hours putting together planters and hanging baskets.
Susan also sold a number of homemade jams and marmalades.
The duo raised an incredible £717 for the charity.
