MP for Thornbury and Yate Luke Hall took a trip to the newly refurbished Morrisons store in yate.
The store was officially re-opened after the refit by loyal customer Vi, 90, who has been shopping at the store for three decades.
Morrisons had been undergoing a £3 million re-fit to improve the experience for customers that use the superstore.
Now Mr Hall, who used to be Store Manager at Lidl in Yate made the trip to see what all the fuss is about.
“The new store looks great," he said.
"The brighter lighting, improved toilets and the new children’s trollies make for a vastly improved shopping experience.
"Thanks to Tom and the team for all of the hard work.
"I know how much work goes into store refurbishments like this, and I know everyone will have been working overtime to have the store ready in time.”
The ribbon on the new look store was cut by Vi on Thursday, June 20, and feedback has already been positive regarding the changes to the layout.
