CBEEBIES' stars are set to open a brand new attraction at Slimbridge Wetland Centre.

Ferne Corrigan and Rory Crawford from Ferne and Rory’s Vet Tales will be helping to launch the centre's Arctic Adventure experience on July 13.

The new exhibit allows visitors to see what it would be like to live in the Arctic Russian tundra, a wetland habitat where WWT researchers live when they study wildlife, including the Bewick’s swan.

The centre is famous for its Bewick’s swans, which call in each winter as they take a perilous migration journey to travel over 3500km to Slimbridge.

Visitors will be able to plan a tundra hut meal and dress up as a researcher as well as learn about the conditions they work in throughout the year.

Binoculars and telescopes will be available for budding birdwatchers to identify various bird species, including Bewick’s swans and green and white fronted geese.

After taking in the Arctic Adventure, there is plenty more to see and do at Slimbridge, including encountering a range of wildlife, such as otters and flamingos, taking boat safaris through water meadows and reeds, hand feeding exotic birds and seeing some of the world’s most dramatic and rare birds all in one place.

There are also adventure playgrounds and waterside cafes.
