The organisers of Thornbury Carnival have revealed the charity that will benefit from this year’s event.
They have chosen Krunch South West as their nominated charity.
Krunch, based in Thornbury, provide youth services and support for young people.
They are currently working with Thornbury Town Council to develop a new Youth Hub at Thornbury Skate Park and will receive all proceeds from Saturday’s event.
This year’s Carnival has the theme Sport for All and Thornbury Rugby Club will be running a Sports Village where visitors can try or watch various sports.
Live music will again be a big feature of the event. The headline act this year is Adele tribute Rolling in the Deep and there will also be performances from Ride the Edge and The Femmes.
Other entertainment includes a falconry display, vintage cars and a funfair.
Early bird tickets are no longer available but tickets on the gate cost £8 for adults and £5 for children.
